After writing up our site inspection report for Andaz Mayakoba, we wanted to dive into the dining options on the property. One of the most incredible things about the Mayakoba Complex is that guests can enjoy benefits, such as dining and spa, at all four hotels within the complex. This opens up your options and creates a boutique hotel experience with the benefits of a large resort; hop in a Mayakoba shuttle vehicle to venture out for a lovely evening but still retain the comfort of being close to your home base.
No matter which of the Mayakoba hotels you choose to call home for your vacation, you must make time to experience the Andaz Mayakoba dining options! The property has four restaurants: two on the Lagoon Side of the resort and two right next to the Beach Side Pool.
Cocina Milagro – Start each day at Andaz Mayakoba with a buffet-style breakfast on the Lagoon Side of the resort, including local and international options. The restaurant is just next to the Lagoon Side pool, so come prepared to swim after breakfast! Be sure to save space for dessert – the french toast bread pudding can’t be beaten!
OllaCeviche – We enjoyed our first dinner at the resort, a private tequila tasting. The restaurant is poolside and beachside with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a casual dinner after a day at the pool or a cocktail to complete your evening. The ceviche is superb; we couldn’t choose just one to recommend!
OllaTaco – OllaTaco is adjacent to OllaCeviche by the Beach Side pool, and offers a great casual setting to enjoy a leisurely meal after some quality beach time. They offer a la carte breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner. As the name would suggest, their specialty is their tacos! The crunchy octopus taco was definitely the group’s favorite.
Casa Amate – The ultimate dining highlight during our visit was the amazing Casa Amate. We saved the best for our final dinner, and we were not disappointed! Imagine attending a dinner party at the home of a well-traveled friend; a comfortable setting, engaging conversation, and unique decor help you feel at ease and entertained. Now, add a globally trained chef, talented bartenders, and polished service, and you will have the Casa Amate experience. The diverse menu features authentic Mexican dishes and some unique items inspired by South American cooking and features seafood, red meat, and an impressive selection of vegetarian options.
