On top of the world-class museums and historical monuments in the city, DC is also a short drive from so many other great parks, beaches, and cities. The proximity makes it so easy to get away for a quick weekend and I’m more than happy to take advantage of it! This time, we took a 4 hour drive to Pittsburgh, PA to visit the city and the nearby Frank Lloyd Wright designed homes Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob.
If you live on the east coast or are planning a road trip through the area, I definitely recommend considering putting this region on your itinerary!
