“It often takes a meal to penetrate a culture and see how similar we all are. Food, how we cook it and eat it, connects us, and the world would be a better place if we thought more about the things that bring us together rather than separate us.” ~ Jose Andres
It is no secret that I am a HUGE Jose Andres fan. I loved his PBS cooking show, Made in Spain, and I haven’t met a Jose Andres restaurant or dish that I don’t enjoy. My all-time favorite restaurant, of course, is China Poblano. You can read more about that here.
Today, Jose Andres steals my heart yet again! This time, it is in the form of a National Geographic article recounting his recent food tour of Japan. Yum! The quote above is his article conclusion and he hits it right on the nose; this is exactly why food and travel are so intricately linked!
